Our semi-dull summer

So, I have felt that this summer has been a little bit boring, but when I really think about it, we have had some milestones and adventures to make it somewhat memorable:

*Brennan started riding without any training wheels whatsoever (last year, he had one) and became a better reader with his school's summer reading program. (Oh, and got his first bee sting, although he'd like to forget about that.)
*Micah became fully potty-trained and pretty much grew up before our eyes with his new "big brother" role. (Plus, he and Brennan camped out with Daddy for the first time in Grandma's backyard.)
*Emma had two baby teeth emerge and is literally perfect. (No joke.)
*We have enjoyed the zoo numerous times thanks to our pass.
*Swimming at Nana & Papaw's, overnights with cousins, family reunions and picnics.
*Detroit Tigers game and Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Detroit for us big kids.
*Day out with Thomas for the little kids.
*And the lake next week with the family, then (hopefully) a trip to Full Blast squeezed in the last week before school starts.
*And also, for me, of course, my menu of summer movies will be complete by August 31, with an end of the summer movie review for your enjoyment.

So, summer hasn't been all that bad...

Okay, let me give you a review of my summer. It will make you feel WAAAAY better about your summer:

A week of curriculum review the first week of summer break, at which time, I thought we might all end up killing each other.

A three day trip to a state resort park for PD.

Clean house for house guests.

A week of fun with college friend and family.

Three weeks of sitting on my butt and watching the world go by mixed in with working in my classroom.

School started on August 3rd.

See, your summer wasn't bad AT ALL! :)
